Well, whaddayaknow - another win. It finished Lugo 0 Betis 1, and even if not a lot of actual football was played by the visitors, at least they held their lines with discipline and energy. In fact, after Rubén Castro's 59th-minute tap-in, there weren't even that many real scares.
The goal was an good example of this new, unaccustomedly efficient Betis: Molinero made a nice tackle around the halfway line, young Dani Ceballos played a lovely through ball for subsitute Jorge Molina, who rounded the keeper and, eventually, found his old mateRubén. Biff, bang, bosh.
Antonio Adán made his usual quota of very important saves and another 18-year-old, tall midfielder Fabián, made his debut as a second-half sub, but the main storyline is definitely three league wins out of three for Juan Merino. He must want that job.
