Salva Sevilla looks like he won’t be remaining with Real Betis in the Segunda, following their relegation, after turning down a new offer by the Andaluz club. Espanyol are reportedly set to move for his signature.
Several clubs in the Primera may well now be on alert at the opportunity of a bargain signing, after 30-year-old midfielder Salva Sevilla rejected a new offer presented by Real Betis.
Out of contract on 30th June, it now seems certain that his future lies elsewhere. Betis and technical secretary, Alexis Trujillo, reportedly made a fixed offer which also included variables and bonus payments, if the team achieved their objective of a swift return to the Primera.
It appears that Salva Sevilla hasn’t been convinced about the deal he was presented with though, having declined to sign up for another season, though it’s thought that Betis haven’t yet given up and may return with an improved offer, as they regard him as a key part of their plans next season.
More likely however at this stage, is that Salva Sevilla will seek a move to another club in the Primera. Currently, Espanyol have been the strongest linked with the player, although they have other targets in mind too, such as Real Madrid Castilla winger, Burgui.
