AC Milan goalkeeper Marco Storari's agent Claudio Vigorelli expects his client to complete his switch to Chelsea on Wednesday.
Storari has been loaned out for the past two seasons to Levante, Cagliari and Fiorentina, where he is currently.
The 32-year-old is being lined up as a replacement for Carlo Cudicini, who completed his transfer to Tottenham on Monday.
Storari will do battle with Hilario for the right to be Chelsea's second choice keeper and his agent was keen to point out that a deal did not depend on Blues defender Branislav Ivanovic moving in the opposite direction.
"Everything has not been finalised yet," Vigorelli explained on Tuttomercatoweb.it.
"But we can expect confirmation today. Certainly it has nothing to do with the Ivanovic story."
The former Lokomotiv Moscow defender has made just six appearances since arriving at Stamford Bridge 12 months ago and his agent recently confirmed they were in talks with Fiorentina.
