Rayo Vallecano have rescinded their loan contract of Villarreal’s Jonathan Pereira, with the Yellow Submarine immediately sending the 27-year-old off to Real Valladolid for the remainder of the season, with an additional year-long stay if they gain promotion.

Pereira made just three appearances in La Liga for Rayo Vallecano this season, with two more in the Copa del Rey, yet couldn’t find consistent minutes in Paco Jemez XI.

Villarreal therefore terminated the loan and sent the forward to Real Valladolid, who have been devastated by injuries, for the remainder of the 2014-15 season and will remain with the club through the 2015-16 season if they gain promotion to the Primera.

Pereira, a former Villarreal youth product, re-joined the club in the summer of 2013, with his current contract expires in June 2017.

However, Pereira would likely be sold to Real Valladolid, should they remain in the Primera and if they were willing to buy the player’s services.
