Qué feo el enfrentamiento entre equipos españoles en cuartos. Además, por la Primera, con el tontín del ultra del Madrid Juan Carlos Rivero. Aunque si hay suerte lo mismo lo retransmite el otro que parece más imparcial y mejor narrador -por la voz creo que es el mismo del de el balonmano. Fueraparte de eso, tiene pinta de partidazo.

Lo normal sería que el Bayern se frungiera sin piedad al United. Ves una y otra alineación y no hay color... Al Man U le hace falta un centro del campo con alguien capaz de repartir el juego -un Koke, un Gabi... algo así de por el estilo- y soltar lastre, que tiene mucha morralla. Empezando por los Welbeck, Valencia y Young, que son los tres del mismo corte.

Bueno, el Barça sin Puyol prácticamente para nada, se lo va a tener que jugar con Bartra y Mascherano, y lo que sea alguna baja de uno de estos, lo siguiente es improvisar.

Sí que es verdad que el Atlético pierde su goleador. A ver cómo responden Villa, Raúl García y compañía.

Cristiano Ronaldo to play 100th Champions League match

Real Madrid forward, Cristiano Ronaldo is set to make his 100th Champions League appearance when Los Blancos face German rivals, Borussia Dortmund in their Champions League quarterfinal tie at the Santiago Bernabeu, putting the Portuguese international in an elite group of twenty individuals who’ve reached the historic milestone.

Cristiano Ronaldo has split is Champions League appearances between Manchester United, where he won the tournament in 2007-2008 and was also the tournament’s top scorer and came in second the following season and Real Madrid, where he had reached the semi-finals for three consecutive seasons and was the top scorer for the 2012-13 edition.

In his 99 Champions League matches, Cristiano has won 58, drawn 23 and lost only 18 (58.59% winning ratio), scoring 63 goals and earning 19 assists.

The Portuguese international has scored in the most consecutive matches, with six and has the most goals scored in the group stage with nine.

Cristiano will be the 21st player to reach the 100th Champions League match (Chelsea’s Frank Lampard could also make it into the elite club on Wednesday), but still remains second as far as Portuguese players, only behind Figo (103).

In what may be a good or bad omen ahead of Wednesday’s match, only two of the 20; Henry (26-11-2008) and Ibrahimovic (27-11-2013) have scored on their 100th appearance.

Arjen Robben compares Man Utd's approach to a handball team

Bayern Munich's Arjen Robben has compared Manchester United's deep-lying defence in their home Champions League last-eight tie to a handball team.

United had only 26% possession at Old Trafford but Nemanja Vidic's header earned a 1-1 draw in the first leg.

"We wanted to play football but they tried to stop us, just playing on the counter-attack, it was almost like handball," said winger Robben.

Handball teams often use all seven players in a tightly-packed defence.

The tactic forms a barrier in front of goal, aiming to limit the attack's scoring opportunities rather than regaining possession.

"It was not easy, as Manchester United played very defensively and didn't leave any gaps," added the 30-year-old, who played for Chelsea between 2004 and 2007.

Robben's manager Pep Guardiola made a similar observation after the match.

"When you see the second half and you see nine players in the box, it is not easy," the Spaniard said. "It's important that we controlled so well in this situation and we played with patience and found the goal."

Bayern Munich midfielder Toni Kroos, who played 74 minutes of the game before being replaced by Mario Gotze, told Munich newspaper TZ that although he was impressed by Old Trafford, he will not push for a move to United.

"It is a beautiful stadium, but I belong to Bayern Munich," the 24-year-old said.

Kroos, who is yet to agree an extension to a contract that expires in the summer of 2015, has been linked with a move to Manchester United.

Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has said the German champions will hold Kroos to the final year of his current deal, ruling out any move at the end of this season.
