Re: Jornada 24 - primera división
Atletico Madrid scored two goals in a minute against Real Valladolid to return to winning ways and return to the top of La Liga.
Diego Simeone's side lost in their last league outing, but were 2-0 ahead in the opening four minutes against Real.
Midfielder Raul Garcia opened the scoring after three minutes before turning provider moments later for Diego Costa's 21st in 24 league games.
Defender Diego Godin added the third with a header.
Atletico's key remaining games
2 March: H v Real Madrid
30 March: H v Athletic Bilbao
18 May : A v Barcelona
The victory moved Atletico clear at the summit but Barcelona will replace them at the top if they beat Rayo Vallecano on Saturday evening.
The result was the perfect response to critics who had suggested Atletico's title charge was faltering after they won just two of their previous five league games.
Real, who are three points from safety with 14 games remaining, were blown away by Atletico's strong start.
Garcia found the net with a low shot into the corner - the 27-year-old's seventh league goal of the season - after Koke had touched a free-kick into his path.
Atletico's fans were still celebrating when Costa doubled the lead after running on to the ball and lobbing goalkeeper Diego Marino.
Uruguay international Godin's second league goal of the season sealed a comfortable win following a corner by former Brazil midfielder Diego.

Re: Jornada 24 - primera división
Levante-Almeria 1-0
Almería dominated much of the first half but couldn’t nudge themselves ahead, as Levante sat back and soaked up the pressure. In the second half, the home side went on the offensive and were rewarded with a superbly struck volley from David Barral, which earned them all three points in a tight encounter.
Levante were keen to make a good start to the game, with plenty of physical pressure on visiting Almería, but perhaps a little too over-exuberantly for the tastes of referee Velasco Carballo, who produced a yellow card for defender Navarro, after he’d caught Zongo with an elbow in the opening minute.
Almería were showing the more attacking perpose though and the first chance of the game came for Zongo in the 5th minute, after good work from Vidal, but unable to take the opportunity and heading over the crossbar.
Both sides were struggling to get hold of the ball and keep possession, but Almería were still looking dangerous going forward. Keylor Navas had to react well in the 14th minute, with the Levante keeper saving an effort on target from Barbosa. Up at the other end though, the home chance managed to create their first real opportunity of the game in the 15th minute, after El Zhar slotted the ball to Barral, only for him to smash his finish nowhere near the goal.
Almería kept pushing though, but couldn’t find the right final ball. Whenever they crossed into the Levante area, it was always too close to the reach of the ever agile Keylor Navas to claim, before any of their strikers could get on the receiving end. Levante then with their second chance of the game in the 28th minute, after catching Almería on the break, but unable to make the most of their forward momentum, as Barral once more failed to hit the target.
Levante had two good chances in short time as the game progressed. In the 39th minute, Diop whizzed a free-kick just wide of the post in the 39th minute. As the good spell of pressure continued, in the 42nd minute Rubén García left Dubarbier for dead, set up a chance for Barral, but Esteban was alert and covered his near post well for Almería. A moment later, Levante thought they had the lead, after Barral made a late burst to apply the finishing touch to a good move, but looking well onside when he made his connection, the goal was ruled out for offside. The home players and fans were furious. The final chance of a busy last several minutes of the half came for Almería, with Verza trying his luck from distance, but not with enough behind it to cause Keylor Navas any trouble.
Levante took a step forward at the start of the second half, as Almería were forced to take a step back. The pressure from the home side was insistent, but without any real cutting edge though. Looking for something to provide that, as the game wore on, in the 58th minute Caparrós brought on Babá for Casadesús in attack.
The change from Levante was followed by a resurgence from Almería, as they burst forward with the lightning pace of Aleix Vidal. His run and movement to get into the area was good, but not matched with a finish, as his shot went wide in the 61st minute. Play switched back in the other direction and from their next foray forward, it was Levante who took the lead in the 61st minute. El Zhar with the assist and Barral with a superb finish on the volley, with no chance for Esteban to get near it.
Almería had to make a reaction now and Francisco made a change to his forward line in the 64th minute, with Óscar Díaz on for Barbosa. Still the pressure was coming from Levante though and after a shot from Diop was saved at the second attempt by Esteban, another change for the visitors in the 69th minute. Corona coming on for Azeez. The reaction came though and in the 71st minute, Zongo powered a header at goal, only to see it strike the post, then pushed away by Keylor Navas.
In the 77th minute, Caparrós made his second Levante change, as Nagore replaced El Zhar, with a more defensively minded change. Francisco followed suit with his final switch from the bench in the 79th minute, with Tébar on for Dubarbier. It was all or nothing now for the visitors.
The intent was there from Almería, but it was hard for them to find a way through the tightly packed Levante defence. In the 86th minute, a chance did come from a free-kick, but Suso wasn’t able to steer it past the secure hands of Keylor Navas.
After Barral left the pitch to an ovation from the home fans, replaced by Pallardó in the 89th minute, again it was the Costa Rican keeper who proved why he’s one of the top keepers in La Liga. In the final minute of normal time, Óscar Díaz cracked off a perfect shot that looked to be heading into the back of the net, but Keylor Navas was there once more, producing a fantastic save to keep his side in the lead.
Almería threw everything forward into stoppage time, but only managed to get themselves caught out on the counter. Diop could have scored himself, but as he looked to gift a goal to Babá, his pass was too strong and the chance was lost.
