WEST BROM boss Pepe Mel has admitted he has been reduced to tears during his time at West Brom.

Emotional Mel admits he nearly cracked up with the love he's feeling from loyal Baggies fans.

And now he promises it's payback time because he OWES them Premier League survival.

The 51-year-old was overcome when the 2,500 travelling fans at Swansea last week watched him get his long-awaited first win.

They had welcomed their under-pressure boss with Spanish flags and a Pepe love-in which showed him they were with him.

The 2-1 win eased the pressure and now Mel looks for another win at Hull today to edge his his men further away from the drop zone.

Mel said: "The fans were unbelievable and, yes, I did become very emotional.

"I really did. I've only been here two months - a different country, different language and all that.

"The people have shown me a lot of love and I owe them the right to be in the Premier League.

"I feel that I owe them that and myself and the players will be doing everything possible to make sure it happens."

Mel added: "It's difficult for me to explain how I feel about all this. The fans have been very kind with me - quite incredible.

"Arsene Wenger has had 1,000 matches in the Premier League and they had patience with him.

"I've had eight and . . . danger. The very first word I learned in English was 'f***.'

There's been a different feel around the Baggies' training centre this week with Mel saying everyone could see that his team were together.

He added: "Did you see the players hugging each other? That's not something made up for the movies, some kind of fiction, it's reality."

Gareth McAuley will take over the captain's armband with both Jonas Olsson and Chris Brunt missing.

Echaron a Clarke por tener un 15/48 (0.31), Downing hizo un 6/12 (0.5) y Mel lleva un 8/33 (0.24).
Antes de llegar Mel, la esperanza de puntos estaba en 40, con su llegada se queda en 36.
