Foundation works of the current Cantilever stand in 1975. It is already the oldest stand that is still standing in the Benito Villamarín stadium. Hopefully for a short time.

Theoretically the construction works should be completed in that season, but the delays of the construction company Agroman and the litigation of the directive with this company produced a significant delay, in addition to the characteristic corporate mess of the time, with the intervention of Tegasa, the submission to the ruling of the Court of Civil and Commercial Arbitration, etc.

In February 1999 the work, paralyzed since October 1998, was now resumed with a new agreement with the construction company Dragados. Finally the new tribunes of Fondo and Gol Norte would be inaugurated on January 1, 2000.
