1' - Emana and Pavone kick off the game. Vamos Betis!
1' - Pavone wins the ball and puts Damia through down the right wing. As he enters the box a Union player puts in a superb tackle to clear the ball. Not the worst start for Betis, but not he best for the defender who seems to be down injured.
3' - Nice skills by Monzon at left-back. Why is Vega a certainty ahead of him and why has he not been signed up yet? Come on, Lopera!
5' - Rivera is the captain for tonight's game. Strange, I was sure Emana was the second choice captain behind Juanito. Obviously not.
6' - Pavone wins the ball on the edge of the box, lays it back to Xisco who tries to lob the goalkeeper, but it simply ends in his hands.
7' - Ricardo in pink tonight. Loverly.
9' - Betis have a lot of space in the forward areas and many a player has pace to burn, so we really should be exploiting these areas. Emana has yet to touch the ball - or so it seems.
10'- HUY! There you go! Emana gets the ball and plays a lovely pass to Xisco with the outside of his foot. Xisco bursts into the area and hits a shot inches wide of the post. He hit it from a very awkward angle; would have been a super goal.
12' - GGGOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLL! DAMIA! A beautiful solo goal by Damia. He skips past with a defender and then bursts forward with pace (see, I was just talking about this a second ago) and dispatches the ball quite nicely into the back of the net. Yay!
18' - Rivera plays it out wide to Xisco who in turn tries to play it through to Pavone but it's placed too far ahead of the Argentine and the goalkeeper takes charge.
21' - Xisco with a poor ball into the box from a threatening free-kick. Pity.
22' - Emana whips a nice ball across the six yard box but it evades Xisco and Pavone.
22' - Possession: Real Union 48:52 Real Betis.
25' - A guy who looks scarily like Alvaro Arbeloa comes very close to scoring for Union but it's well blocked by Rivas.
27' - Union number seven hits a nice left-footed shot just inches wide of the post.
30' - Pavone dives really, really well. It's like a gift.
33' - :sub: Vega on for an injured Monzon.
40' - Good in swinging free-kick by Emana. It causes a bit of trouble with a couple of half-hit shots but it's eventually cleared.
45' - Pretty easy first half of football. Not much of a threat from Union.
