Paco Chaparro has revealed he hopes to bring in players to strengthen his squad in the January transfer window.
Betis stumbled to another bad result as they simply couldn't break down a resilient Almeria side who took all three points on Sunday thanks to a Miguel Angel Corona goal.
Despite having the majority of the possession and more efforts on goal, Paco Chaparro's side were toothless in attack and could not find the creativity to grab a equaliser.
The result was Betis' third consecutive Primera Division defeat and has left Chaparro desperate to add some fresh faces to his squad in the transfer to avoid his side being embroiled in a relegation battle.
The coach told of his work behind the scenes to find the right players to help the club climb the table. He said, "My technical team is working well. There are things that are in place.
"Ideally we hope to have carried out some business carried out within the next fifteen to twenty days."
Building The Team
Chaparro has always maintained that his current squad is some distance away from being the finished article, and the Almeria result only highlighted the lack of quality in the squad.
He concluded, "Of the 200 steps required to get the squad up to the correct level, we have only taken around 20 or 30.
"We have brought in good players who have strengthened the squad, but it is true also that small individual mistakes are costing us points."
Betis are currently just four points above the relegation zone in the Primera Division table.
