Real Betis defender Juanito has told skysports.com he has no interest in leaving the Primera Liga club for England.
Media reports earlier this week claimed Newcastle United could be lining up an offer for the Spain international.
Juanito's current contract is due to expire at the end of the campaign and the 32-year-old cast doubt over his future after comments regarding his demands.
But Juanito has confirmed he intends to extend his stay at Betis, quashing rumours of a switch to the Premier League.
He told skysports.com: "I heard the rumours about interest in my services from England but I insist that my priority is Real Betis and not England.
"I plan to resolve this subject in the next weeks so that I can play on for the rest of the season with peace of mind.
"Betis have offered to my agent a deal but I believe that I merit other money conditions.
"I am always grateful to this club and I have demonstrated my professional level during many years."
