Struggling Bundesliga outfit Arminia Bielefeld are hoping to sign Germany international winger David Odonkor.
The former Borussia Dortmund star is unhappy with his lack of playing time at Primera Liga club Real Betis and could be ready to resurrect his injury-plagued career in Germany.
"Of course David is an interesting player for us. We have already spoken to him," Bielefeld coach Michael Frontzeck told Bild.
Arminia sport director Detlef Dammeier also confirmed that a deal could happen during the winter transfer window.
"David could well imagine returning to the Bundesliga," he said.
"David could play for us for half a season and put himself back in the shop window."
Odonkor joined Betis in a 6.5million euros move following the 2006 World Cup.
