Betis reported for fans' Nazi symbols.

Referee Alfonso Perez Burrull has reported Real Betis fans for displaying Nazi symbols in the stands during the city derby against Sevilla.

A number of Nazi paraphernalia were seen in the section of the Manuel Ruiz de Lopera containing home fans during the hotly contested clash, which ended in a goalless draw.

And Betis now face sanctions after the official chose to include the sightings in his post-match report.

"In the stand behind the goal occupied by home fans there were a good number of flags and banners with Nazi symbols, and Spanish flags with similar symbols and the pre-constitution coat of arms (from the era of right-wing dictator Francisco Franco)," Perez Burrull said.

On the pitch, Betis put in a stirring performance, although the stalemate meant they have failed to beat their arch rivals in the last five league meetings between the sides.

I absolutely agree with you. The fact is that this kind of supporters are the curse of football nowadays, we can find them in nearly every football pitch and i can´t find any other sport in which people expell their frustration in such an innapropiate way, neither they have right-wing politician ideas nor left ones.

Because sport is much more than that, should be much more than that, and above all because there are many kids who imitate what they see, having no idea of what are they doing and what are they doing.

It´s time somebody do something to kick this crap off from football.
