Rubén Castro has committed his future to Real Betis and despite offers from Primera clubs, he’s keen to help the team battle their way out of the Segunda this season.
A swift return to the Primera is the clear objective for Real Betis ahead of the 2014-2015 campaign and their bid for a swift promotion received a positive boost, after talismanic striker Rubén Castro signed a new deal with the club on Tuesday.
Real Betis officially announced that the new contract ties Castro until June 2017, with the player happy to be staying and keen to help the team perform well in the Segunda, firmly of the belief they can bounce back to the Primera.
“Our aim is set, hopefully we’ll achieve it and my goals will help us gain promotion. I feel we have a good enough team to do that, which is what everyone wants. I’m confident in the team, the way the manager trains us. He wanted me to stay and has supported me 100% since he came here.”
