Real Betis agree Perquis renewal until 2016

Damien Perquis continue at Real Betis. The Club and the central French-Polish today reached a verbal agreement to expand their relationship until 2016 under new conditions. Perquis contract ended in June 2015, but the parties have agreed a new two-year contract. The signing of the contract will occur next week.

The defender, who is located in Seville for several days, had shown its willingness to continue at Real Betis and contribute to their return to the top flight of Spanish football.

Damien Perquis has agreed a new two-year deal with Real Betis, the club has announced, with the defender showing his commitment to helping the team rise back to the Primera.

Following the relegation of Real Betis from the Primera last season, this summer was always likely to be one of many changes, particularly amongst the playing staff. Many have departed, whilst there’s also been a flurry of recent activity, with new faces arriving on the scene.

One player who has underlined his commitment to the club however, is French-born Poland international, Damien Perquis. With his previous deal set to expire in June 2015, the 30-year-old has agreed a contract extension until June 2016, but not only that, he’s also agreed to a salary reduction.

Perquis will officially put pen to paper on his new deal, early next week, whilst since Real Betis suffered relegation to the Segunda, he has always assured that he wants to be a part of the new project, aimed at returning the club to the Spanish top-flight.
