The Real Betis still putting the finishing touches to their preseason schedule and through the official website of Marbella FC, newly promoted to Segunda B, has been known to play a friendly on 31 July at the Municipal stadium in this town in preparation the 2014-15 season. Cartagena joined in Marbella rivals Real Betis during the preseason

The coaching staff understands that the ideal duration of preparedness for such a long campaign should not exceed six weeks, hence the team returns to work on July 13
